Give to Camp ASCCA :: Something You May Not Know About Our Funding

As an Alabama Easter Seal facility, the Camp ASCCA staffand board are responsible for generating, locating and developing allneeded funding for all expenses related to Camp ASCCA programsand facilities. Currently Camp ASCCA operates on $1.5 milliondollars annually.
Camp ASCCA affiliateswith Easter Seals. In return for our Easter Seal affiliation, Camp ASCCAis able to utilize group discounts for facility and employee insurance andemployee retirement plans offered through Easter Seals Alabama, our parentorganization. However, we cover the costs for all of our programs andactivities.
So, we get services and more from Easter Seals. The affiliation is worth it, to be sure. But, we want to make sure you know the full story. We do not get any funding from Easter Seals. This is a common misperception we encounter quite often.
Now, consider that about 90% of the people attending Camp ASCCA require some help from us ... well, actually you ... in covering their camp fees.
We serve thousands annually. Thiscampaign is just designed to help us cover the fees for 100 campers.Have you priced a camp, lately? Camps for non-disabled children cost twoto three times what we charge. So, as you can imagine, we're justtalking about the fees we charge - not the costs we actually face daily.
So, now that you know what our responsibilities are, please consider supporting us. Make a donation and help send a camper to ASCCA!
